You rent/reserve/book Resources, and Resources provide Services, eg. Teachers, Mechanics in a garage etc.
It fits quite a few different models, but the ones experimented with so far include tables in a restraunt, a convention centre, schools and a clown booking service (no really, it was fun). Jombok is built upon the core functionality of Jomres, so while it's a simple application to configure, it still enjoys considerable functionality including the language aware Editing Mode, patTemplate output and more. Sorry, no demo download currently available.
RC2 has been released. Fixes various date selection bugs, plus new Holiday functionality: Set the dates that you don't want bookings taken for. This is an excellent addition that gives Jombok event type functionality in addition to it's schedule functionality.
I can't remember what RC3 did, but RC4 allows you to create ad-hoc bookings. These are bookings that aren't tied to a resource, date or time, you simply define a service as an ad-hoc service then add your Max multiples (the number of times this can be booked) and you are done.
